Ram Charan latest movie Dhruva which was released in December is a big hit and gained good collections. Dhruva is a remake of a Tamil movie Thani Oruvan in which Jayam Ravi played the lead role and it is the biggest hit in Tamil that year. The villain character in both the languages is done by Aravind Swamy and after this movie, he is bagging bigger opportunities and he is choosing selectively. Aravind Swamy first rejected to do the same character in the Telugu remake but later the hero and producer convinced him and paid 3 crores which is a huge amount in Telugu. Dhruva is directed by Surender Reddy and the Tamil version is directed by Mohan Raja who is actually the elder brother of Jayam Ravi. Dhruva is produced by Allu Aravind under the Geetha Arts Banner. After Magadheera Charan haven’t done a movie in Geetha arts banner till Dhruva.

Fans of Charan are very much happy with the collections that the movie has grabbed as the movie released just after the big currency notes are banned. Due to demonetization, people are not much interested in the movies at that time as all are busy in exchanging their currency at banks. The makers have also announced that this is more than expected during that demonetization period and they are very happy about the revenue the movie had made.
