Major Fire Breaks Annapurna Studios. A major broke out at Akkineni Nageswara Rao “Annapurna Studios” in Hyderabad yesterday evening. As per the reports, the fire accident occurred at evening around 6:30 pm. Akkineni Nageswara Rao last film “Manam” set was erected to this fire accident.
King Nagarjuna let the set remain as of his father Nageswara Rao key scenes were shot there. Not only that Megastar Chiranjeevi‘s upcoming film “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” totally gutted in this fire accident.
Meanwhile, Akkineni Nageswara Rao set up the Annapurna studios in 1975 as production and distribution company in 22-acre, he named the studios with his wife name. His last film was “Manam”, he passed away in January 2014 before the film release. The film Manam was a huge blockbuster.
Hyderabad Assistant District Fire Officer Y Prabhakar Reddy said that “The film set caught fire at evening 6:15 pm, though the flames were very high, the blaze was completely extinguished within two hours.” On the other side, the fire officer said that a short-circuit may have caused the blaze, though the exact cause is being investigated.
