Modi Launches Mobile Payment App “BHIM.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launches the App. This is Aadhar based mobile payment app called “BHIM.” The full form of BHIM is Bharat Interface for Money. This app is launched because to increase the number of cashless payments around the India. After the demonetization of 500 and 1000 rupee notes, Modi said to go with cashless payments. After the 50 days, this app launched.
This is not a new app, but it is a rebranded version of UPI (Unified Payment Interface) and USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data). This app was launched at the event of Digi Dhan Mela at Talkatora stadium in New Delhi. PM announced the winners of Grahak Yojana in the event. Modi says this new app will help to not use the plastic cards and the service charges of companies like Visa, Master Card.
In this App, there will be no service fees for paying the money through mobile. this is one of the main reason to launch this app. Modi will address the nation tomorrow evening. All Indians are waiting for the speech of Modi more eagerly. Using this Apps from mobile may have the problem of hacking which said by some ethical hackers. Modi said they are getting on the hackers to control it.
