Najma Heptulla says That She was Hurt By the Allegations Put On Her!!
Najma Heptulla, the present governor of Manipur on Tuesday stated that she was hurt by the allegations which have been put on her. Najma Heptulla is the second cousin to Bollywood actor Aamir khan and the Grand niece of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad. In the past, she worked in many positions and also worked as the vice president of the Bharatiya Janata Party. She has been in service for 37 years.
Heptulla said: “In my 37 years in Parliament, I had worked in Congress and also worked with the non-Congress government, I never had such allegations been put on me. I invite the BJP-led group on Wednesday to form the government. The ceremony will begin at 1 pm,”.
She also gave an explanation about why she didn’t invite the Congress Party and also told her reasons behind it. She said ” I do know that Congress Party is the largest political party, but it is not very necessary. It is the duty of the governor vested by the constitution to weigh and measure the stability. According to the Supreme Court, the duty of the governor is to observe who has the majority and who will be able to work for the stability of the state”.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has unitedly elected N. Brien Singh as its leader in Manipur. He has been elected in Imphal, at a legislature party meeting in the presence of Piyush Goyal, Vinay Sahasrabuddhe and a few central observers.
The present Chief Minister O. Ibobi Singh had resigned yesterday after the Governor of Goa, Heptulla said that she will not start the formation of government in the state until O. Ibobi Singh quits. The Congress Party has achieved 28 seats in Manipur and the BJP had won 21 seats. The NPP and the NPF had acquired four seats each. Meanwhile, the LJP and the Trinamool Congress have only got one seat each.
