Tarak & Me are not fools …?
Young Tiger NTR’s ‘Shakti’ (2011) is one of the biggest disastrous film in his career. The losses incurred by that film was so big that its producer Ashwini Dutt completely stopped making movies after its release. Directed by Meher Ramesh, Shakti was a follow up to the actor’s previous super-hit ‘Yama Donga’. While fans attribute the failure of the film to Meher Ramesh, here’s what the daughter of the film’s producer had to say about it.
It is needless to tell that any team will work on various pros and cons before collaborating for a film, but few remains box-office duds and others mark a dark spot in their career. Definitely, Shakti is one of such films for Tarak who’s now riding high with three back-to-back successes- Temper, Nannaku Prematho and Janatha Garage.
In one of the recent interviews, Ashwini Dutt’s daughter Swapna Dutt, who monitored the production of that film, made a sensational comment when quizzed about the film’s debacle. She said, “Although we were (including NTR) pretty confident of the film when director narrated the script to us, the final output was upsetting.”
In addition to above comments, she trashed interviewer’s other query in this regard, wherein shocked us by saying “Neither we (producers) nor NTR are fools to accept/be part of a disaster project.” Ever since she made these comments, the video is going viral on social media for the reasons best known to all.
